WAKISO, UGANDA — Police in Wakiso District are investigating a murder by stabbing that claimed the life of a 56-year-old man following a disagreement in Kabowa Banda Village, Mende Sub County.
The incident occurred on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at approximately 4:00 p.m., according to Kampala Metropolitan Police.
Deputy Police Spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan Police, Luke Owoyesigyire, said the deceased, identified as Kisambira Meddy, 56, was allegedly stabbed in the neck by Muwanguzi David, 24, using a piece of glass during a disagreement.
The victim sustained serious injuries and died at the scene.
Police responded promptly, processed and documented the crime scene, and recovered exhibits relevant to the investigation.
The suspect was arrested and is currently in police custody as investigations continue. Meanwhile, Kisambira’s body was transported to the Mulago KCCA Mortuary for a postmortem examination.
Police say investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
