Police have arrested a woman identified as Rose Tumusiime in connection with the death of musician Moses Matovu, who died after being assaulted in the early hours of the morning.
According to police, Tumusiime was with the deceased when they went to her home at around 5:30 a.m. However, as they were leaving the premises, an unidentified man reportedly confronted them and assaulted Matovu, leaving him with a severe injury to his arm.
A boda boda rider later came to Matovu’s aid and rushed him to Kibuli Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police have not yet established what triggered the confrontation or the circumstances that led to the assault.
However, police say they have obtained information about the man suspected of attacking Matovu and are confident that he will be arrested soon.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing as police work to establish the events that led to the musician’s death.
