Police faced a difficult situation while evacuating residents of Adwong Trading Centre in Angwata Sub-county, along the Lira–Soroti Road, after a fuel tanker developed a mechanical problem and overturned.
The tanker spilled fuel, creating a serious fire risk in the area. Police quickly moved in to protect residents and prevent a possible fire outbreak, urging people to keep away from the scene as efforts to secure the area continued.
