NAKASEKE — The head of Operation Wealth Creation, Gen. Salim Saleh, has taken a humorous swipe at musician King Saha over his song Akamwanyi, declaring that Uganda’s coffee is back.

Speaking at the launch of the Uganda Coffee Group at Kapeeka Industrial Park in Nakaseke District, Saleh dismissed the song’s claim that coffee had been stolen.
“King Saha lied in the Akamwanyi song when he said their coffee was stolen. I want to assure him today that the coffee is back,” Saleh said.
Saleh made the remarks as he officially launched the Uganda Coffee Group, an association aimed at bringing together coffee farmers and promoting the growth of Uganda’s coffee sector.
The group is expected to support coffee farmers, particularly those engaged in value addition, with the aim of improving the quality and increasing the value of coffee produced in the country.
The initiative is intended to strengthen the coffee value chain by encouraging activities that enable farmers to benefit more from their produce.
The launch at Kapeeka Industrial Park marks another effort to organise and support coffee farmers as Uganda seeks to boost the production, quality and value of its coffee.
