Musician King Saha has pledged to complete the house construction project left unfinished by the late comedian Kapere Lufotose, assuring his widow that he will fulfil the promise despite the comedian’s death.

King Saha made the commitment while addressing mourners at the National Unity Platform (NUP) headquarters in Makerere-Kavule, where he revealed that he had previously planned to organise a fundraising music show to help Kapere raise money to complete his house.
The musician said he had agreed to perform at the show without charging any fee, with the aim of supporting the comedian in finishing the construction project.
“I had planned with him to organise a show, and I would come and sing for free so that he could get money and complete his house. It hurts that we had not yet fulfilled that pledge, but I promise his wife that the house is going to be completed,” King Saha said.
He expressed regret that the planned fundraising initiative did not take place before Kapere’s death but reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that the comedian’s family does not lose the support they had hoped to receive.
Kapere Lufotose was a comedian who had been working towards completing his residential house before his death. His unfinished construction project had been one of the challenges he hoped to address, prompting King Saha to consider organising a fundraising performance in his support.
King Saha’s pledge is expected to offer hope to Kapere’s widow and family as they continue to deal with the loss of their loved one.
