Veteran Ugandan musician and music manager Chagga Geoffrey has spoken out about the failure of his Friends of Chagga concert, accusing the promoter of allegedly failing to plan and publicise the event adequately, which he believes may have been intended to embarrass him.

Chagga has also dismissed rumours that he was deported from the United Kingdom, insisting that his return to Uganda was voluntary and that he intends to return to London to continue pursuing work opportunities.
Speaking about the failed concert, the veteran artist expressed concern over what he described as poor planning and inadequate publicity, which he believes contributed to the event’s disappointing outcome.
He accused the promoter of allegedly handling the preparations in a manner that undermined the concert, raising questions about the organisation and promotion of the event.
Meanwhile, Chagga has firmly rejected claims circulating that he was forced to leave the UK. He maintains that his return to Uganda was a personal decision and not the result of deportation.
The musician says he remains determined to return to London, where he hopes to continue working and pursuing better opportunities.
His remarks come amid questions surrounding the failed Friends of Chagga concert and speculation about his return from the UK. However, Chagga has maintained that he is focused on his future plans and is determined to move forward despite the controversy.
