One person was shot dead by police as they dispersed a mob of suspects involved in the murder of a couple at Muhangi village in Kabweza ward in Kyegegwa district. The deceased was identified as Emmanuel Tumuhairwe.
Police were forced to fire in an attempt to prevent law enforcement and later searched for the suspects and arrested them, Kyegegwa Police Spokesperson Vincent Twesige confirmed. The couple who were killed were identified as Ismail Alituha and Aisha Nasoro
