Two notorious land grabbers who have been terrorizing residents of Mukono district, appeared before Mukono Chief Magistrates Court and were both charged with four counts including; malicious damage to property, destroying growing plants, forcible Entry, and forcible Detainer.

The accused persons are; Boniface Kayongo and Hamza Kiseka who appeared before court on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.
Court heard that between October and November 2025, in Luwunga Village, Nama Sub-county, Mukono District, Kayongo Bonniface, Kisekka Hamza, and others still at large, forcibly entered land comprised in block 167, plot 81 in Kyaggwe.
The disputed land measures 311 acres and is registered in the name of Stella Kiwanuka as an administrator of the estate of the late Kiwanuka Joseph Musanze.
The accused stole property including; four metallic water tanks, water pumping machines, and caused extensive damage to four houses.
They also uprooted and destroyed crops such as maize, cassava, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, banana plantations, and eucalyptus trees collectively valued at approximately Shs1 billion.
The accused persons were remanded to government prisons till July 22, 2026, when they return to court for further hearing.
